Fawcett Lincoln, are passionate about telling the stories of Lincolnshire women and the region’s suffragist and suffragette history. In 2016, to mark the 150-year anniversary of the Fawcett Society, they created an exhibition centering on the achievements of Jessie Boucherett, a women’s rights campaigner, and contemporary of Millicent Fawcett,  who was born near Market Rasen in 1825. In 2018 the group collaborated with other local organisations to create two exhibitions to celebrate women's right to vote.

The group believe, that looking back at Lincolnshire’s feminist and women's history past will help open conversations about gender inequality across the UK today and in Lincoln. Local members (Lincolnshire and beyond) are welcome to join the group's contact list to be kept up to date on local activities and events. Fawcett Lincoln is a small active group and always looking for new volunteers.

Please email [email protected] if you’d like to get involved and have some time to give to the group.
