The event will honour the dedication of suffrage campaigners in Liverpool, including Eleanor Rathbone and Mary Bamber, and their relevance to women’s lives today. The evening will include speeches from Janet Dugdale, Director of Museum of Liverpool, Fawcett Chief Executive Sam Smethers, and more. You will also have the opportunity to find out more about Fawcett’s recent research and Fawcett Merseyside's campaigning to end period poverty.

Millicent Fawcett was a tireless campaigner for gender equality, who was commemorated with the first female statue in Parliament Square this year. The event will be a special evening of celebration, inspiration and insight into the lives of women's rights campaigners past and present.

We are not charging for this event but we are encouraging invitees to please make a donation to support our work or give the gift of Fawcett membership to a loved one. Fawcett is at the forefront of the fight for gender equality and women’s rights today. Together we will make 2018 a transformational year for all women.

This event is delivered in partnership with the Museum of Liverpool.

Please note that places are extremely limited. Please register your attendance today to avoid disappointment.
