Online activism workshop run by Citizens UK

Have you ever felt like you’ve identified an issue or injustice, but weren't sure how to take action on it? This session is for women who want to make change, and not just noise.

We'll talk through a theoretical framework to plan effective action, hear from women who have made real change happen, and do some practical action planning ourselves. 97% of participants who have taken part in Citizens UK's 2 day training sessions feel better equipped to tackle local issues and 88% have a clearer idea of possible solutions to local problems.

This is a free online workshop run by Citizens UK as part of the Equal Power campaign which is led by The Fawcett Society and is funded by Comic Relief. Equal Power is about getting more women in all our diversity, into every level of politics and community activism.

Citizens UK organises communities to act together for power, social justice and the common good. Their diverse member organisations include schools, churches, mosques, synagogues, parents groups, charities and trade unions. They help these members to develop leaders, so they can participate in public life and hold politicians and other decision-makers to account on the issues that matter to them.

We intend to create a safe space for women in all our diversity. Please take a couple of minutes to read our values statement here.  By registering for this online session, you are agreeing to respect Equal Power’s values both in and outside of the workshop.
