  • Pressures Parliament with bold, evidence-led policy campaigns
  • Secures headlines that shift the national conversation
  • Hosts public events, panels and talks that inform and inspire

When you join, you're not just donating, you’re fuelling progress.

Ways You Can Take Action

Feminism isn’t a spectator sport.

As a Fawcett member, you’ll have meaningful ways to get involved:

  • Write to your MP on the issues that matter most
  • Join our live Fawcett Talks and ask your questions directly
  • Respond to campaign surveys and shape our priorities
  • Attend our annual conference to learn, connect and act

Whether you’ve got 5 minutes or 5 hours, there’s a way to take part.

Membership Types Explained

We offer two types of membership for individuals:

Individual: One person with full access to all member benefits
Family: Up to four people in the same household, all with access to the same benefits

All members — individual or family — receive the same benefits. We don’t yet offer tailored content for younger members, but we’re working on it. Stay tuned.

How Membership Payments Work

Fawcett membership is based on solidarity, not set fees. When you join, you choose the amount you contribute to support our campaigning for gender equality.

A suggested contribution is about £5 a month or £60 a year, which helps us plan and grow the movement. But everyone’s circumstances are different. If you’re on a lower income, studying, on parental leave, or simply need to give less right now, you’re equally welcome.

Whatever you give, you’re part of Fawcett and our movement for equality.

What Happens After You Join

We make it easy to get started and stay connected.

Here’s what to expect:

From day one, you’re part of something powerful.

Hearing From Our Members

“I joined Fawcett Society because I follow their impressive work on social media and believe in the power of grassroots organising to drive systemic change for women's rights... If we don't fight for our rights, no one else will.”

Ramma - Fawcett Member

“I joined Fawcett to support their campaigns around closing the gender and ethnicity pay gap and the motherhood pay penalty. Pay is fundamental to women’s wellbeing and choices in life... By collaborating together we will achieve more and I always find the annual conference so motivating to come together with others of the same mindset.”

Melissa - Fawcett Member

We wouldn't be able to do it without you

We've come so far in a century of campaigning for gender equality, but our work isn't over yet.

Without our members we simply wouldn’t have the funds or the voice to make real change and progress on key issues such as sex discrimination, the gender pay gap and women’s representation in public and political life.

Inspire others: Volunteer with Future Fawcett

2018 marks 100 years since women first secured the right to vote, and we're marking it by launching Future Fawcett, an education outreach programme to inspire young people through our suffrage history, and teach them about women's rights today.

We need volunteers to make it happen. Are you ready to inspire the next generation of feminists?
