Organising a fundraising event at your place of work is a great way to raise money and spread the word about women’s rights, and demonstrate how you and your organisation is committed to supporting and improving gender equality. Whether it’s getting a group together to take part in a sponsored run or challenge, holding a skills swap raffle in your office, or choosing us as your Charity of the Year, we have plenty of ideas to make your event a success.

Hold an event

  • Bake sale – A classic and still a great. Hold a bake sale in the office and collect donations for Fawcett. Download your bake sale fundraising guide here.
  • Quiz night – All you need is a quizmaster and a venue, then invite your colleagues, clients and friends for a friendly night of fun in the name of a great cause. Download your quiz night fundraising guide here.
  • Benefit nights - Nominate Fawcett as the charity partner for work events, such as your summer ball or Christmas party.

Corporate teams

Sign a group of you up to a sporting challenge event; a full or half marathon, a skydive, a triathlon. Have a look at the challenge events we have places in here.

Alternatively, find your own event and tell us about it! We can provide you and your team materials such as fundraising guides and running vests, and we’ll support you every step of the way! Email the Fundraising Team at [email protected] or call us on 0203 598 6154 to find out more.

Make us your chosen charity of the year

With most companies choosing a charity to fundraise for over the course of the year, why not nominate Fawcett?

You can help raise awareness of women’s rights and gender equality over key dates like International Women’s Day (8th March), Equal Pay Day (usually in mid-November) or of course Millicent Fawcett’s birthday (11th June).

Many companies also offer a matched giving scheme, whereby anything you raise, the company will match. Speak to your manager or HR team and find out how to put Fawcett forward!
