Plan your event

So, you want to raise money for Fawcett. The first thing to do is to decide what kind of event you'd like to do! Below are a few suggestions to get you started.

  • Organise a Fawcett Bake Sale. The all-time classic fundraising activity! Bake sales are universally popular and really easy to do. Whether it's at work, university or at your own house, everyone loves tea and cake! Channel your inner Prue Leith and get baking for feminism! Download your bake sale guide here.

  • Hold a Gaming Marathon. Here at The Fawcett Society, we love gamers. We know just how diverse and vibrant the gaming community is - many of whom make a valuable contribution in the fight against sexism and misogyny in the UK. Use your passion to help us fight for women’s rights and gender equality and host your very own fundraising gaming marathon! Download your gaming marathon guide here.

  • Organise a Pub Quiz. Another fundraising favourite! Perhaps you could put a feminist spin on the questions? Preparation is key, but everyone loves a pub quiz, and with a few friends to help out it's easier to organise than you think! Download your pub quiz guide here.

  • Host a Clothes Swap Party. A simple idea and easy to organise. Not only will you be raising money for our vital work, but you and your guests will also be walking away with fancy new threads! Charge an entry fee and group items into price tiers, and watch the money come rolling in!

Paying in your donations

The easiest way to collect donations for your event is by setting up an online fundraising page. You can set up your page by following this link. Alternatively you can pay in the money you've collected online. Just head over to the donation page of our website here
