News Events Feminist Futures Conference 2017 SOLD OUT. Thank you to everyone who has booked a place - we will be in touch soon with more details! The future is bright. The future is feminist. Join us at our annual conference for a day of exciting panel discussions, interactive workshops and networking opportunities - and the chance to witness herstory in the making. Next year marks 100 years since women first secured the right to vote in Britain, and we’re kicking off celebrations at our conference with an exclusive preview of Millicent Fawcett’s statue, the first woman who will be commemorated in Parliament Square. The day will start with an address from broadcaster June Sarpong, and an inside look at plans for the suffrage centenary with feminist campaigner and writer Caroline Criado-Perez, a representative from the Mayor of London’s office, and more. You’ll then take part in an expert-led panel discussion on gender equality in post-Brexit Britain including NUS President Shakira Martin, a series of workshops on the future of feminist activism, and have the chance to explore a variety of stalls set up by women’s rights organisations. The conference will end with a session on ending violence against women and girls, misogyny and hate crime, including social activist Nimco Ali and Caroline Millin, the head of Safety Policy Programmes for Facebook. You can see our full line-up here. Frequently Asked Questions Read more Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
