Fawcett Tyneside is an informal and friendly local group based in Newcastle upon Tyne but welcoming members from across the North East. Fawcett Tyneside is passionate about such issues as period poverty, sexual harassment, workplace equality, violence against women and girls, equal opportunities for girls in school, gender stereotypes and more!

The group is run as the campaigning arm of the wider Great North Women community, a network for professional women juggling life and career. It is an exciting opportunity for local women to come together and campaign for changes in policy, behaviour and communities that will be better for us all. And of course we hope to have some fun along the way!

Our growing Great North Women Facebook group is open to members and is the best place to engage and chat with others, and keep up to date with involvement opportunities: www.facebook.com/groups/GreatNorthWomen

We are planning a big expansion of our activities for 2020 so please come and join us! All are welcome to join in our campaigning and you don’t have to be a Fawcett Society member to get involved. You can contact us via email or find us on social media:
