The law says that employers have to pay women and men equally at work if they are doing the same work or work of equal value. But there are still many women who do not get equal pay. The Fawcett Society offers an Equal Pay Advice Service targeted at those whose gross income is £40,000 per year or less and who do not have access to legal advice.
