Labour Women: Job Done or Just Begun?

45% of Labour Party MPs are women - significantly more than the 32% of total MPs who are women. Similarly in Local Government - 44% of Labour's councillors elected in England in 2017 were women, considerably more than the third overall average.

The Labour Party is doing comparatively well when it comes to the numbers - but what about the experiences of women within the party? In the wake of #MeToo and the Westminster sexual harassment scandal, as well as many policies on baby leave and sexual harassment being inadequate or in some cases non-existent at the local level, what more does the Labour Party need to do for the women in its ranks?
