An opportunity for feminists in Yorkshire to come together and hear from leading equality organisations including The Fawcett Society, UNITE, and Women's Budget Group on tackling the challenges women in Yorkshire face.

Tickets for this event are free, but we encourage all attendees to donate to Fawcett to support our continued campaign work. We also invite all attendees to bring someone from a different generation with them as this will be an intergenerational feminist event.

  • 12.00noon             What is happening to care and childcare services? - Sara Reis, Women’s Budget Group
  • 12.10pm               How can Local Government respond? - Abtisam Mohamed, Labour councillor for Sheffield City Council
  • 12.20-1pm            Chaired Q&A discussion

  • 1pm                      Facilitated discussion over lunch addressing the following questions:
                                          - What is the strategic priority to address?
                                          - Who are the women most at risk in Yorkshire?
                                          - What is the one key action that you/we could take?                     
  • 2.15pm                  Feedback from the discussions - Helen Jackson and Fiona Mactaggart
  • 3.15pm                  End of discussion - guests to move out to breakout area
