News Events Gender Equality Symposium: Leadership and Opportunity for Young Women This free event funded by the Economic and Social Research Council and organised by University of Exeter and the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, will bring together policy makers, researchers and practitioners working in the field of gender equality and female empowerment. The event aims to facilitate knowledge exchange and partnership development between organisations in order to tackle challenges faced in achieving gender equality. The event will include: Research on gender inequalities, including an international study on gender barriers to leadership experienced by girls Opportunity for discussion, networking, and a focus on taking action The aim of the event is to: extend our understanding of gender inequality, evaluate the causes, propose solutions and plan for action.
