Next year marks 100 years since women first secured the right to vote in Britain, and we’re kicking off celebrations at our conference with an exclusive preview of Millicent Fawcett’s statue, the first woman who will be commemorated in Parliament Square. The day will start with an inside look at plans for the suffrage centenary with feminist campaigner and writer Caroline Criado-Perez, a representative from the Mayor of London’s office, and more. You’ll then take part in an expert-led panel discussion on gender equality in post-Brexit Britain, a series of workshops on the future of feminist activism, and have the chance to explore a variety of stalls set up by women’s rights organisations. The conference will end with a session on ending violence against women and girls, misogyny and hate crime, including social activist Nimco Ali, Yvette Cooper MP and Caroline Millen, the head of Safety Policy Programmes for Facebook. There are no ID requirements or age limit, but children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Am I eligible for a concessionary rate?
