Sukhvinder Kaur Stubbs

Sukhvinder is the Chief Executive of the Barrow Cadbury Trust, a grant-making foundation which seeks to encourage a just, equal, peaceful and democratic society. With an endowment of some £100 million, the Trust gives out grants to projects based in the UK, Europe and areas of conflict around the world.

Sakhvinder also chairs the Diversity Migration and Integration Interest Group (DMIIG) for the European Foundation Centre.

Sukhvinder's background is in equality, social inclusion and community development. Previously, she ran the Runnymede Trust and was the elected and founding chair of the European Network Against Racism. Prior to that, she worked for English Partnerships and the Community Development Foundation.

Over the past 15 years, Sukhvinder has served on the boards of regeneration agencies including the Black Country Development Corporation and Advantage West Midlands. She was a member of the Government's Better Regulation Task Force where she chaired their work on the voluntary and community sector. Additionally, she was awarded Woman of the Year by the Department for Trade and Industry-sponsored Asian Jewel Awards and wrote a weekly column for Regeneration Magazine published by Haymarket Press.
