A record number of people have joined up as supporters of the Fawcett Society in recent weeks, largely thanks to the growing popularity of our eye-catching T-shirts.

The T-shirts - which display the slogan “This is what a feminist looks like” – were featured in an article on the Guardian’s women’s page last week, attracting a rush of new signings on our website.

And at this year’s Labour party conference in Manchester, hundreds of people were drawn to the Fawcett Society stall after hearing about the T-shirts, including Cherie Blair, Meg Munn, Harriet Harman, Peter Hain and Hilary Benn.

You too could get hold of a free T-shirt when you join the Fawcett Society - just follow the links on the right hand side of this page.
