Fawcett responds to the Over 40s Gender Pay Gap Inquiry
Last month the Women and Equalities Committee launched an inquiry into the gender pay gap, focusing on reducing the gap for women over 40. They are considering many areas, including barriers to promotion, the adequacy of current Government proposals and how to ensure information about an organisation’s gender pay gap is turned into action.
Fawcett submitted written evidence to the enquiry which you can read here. It includes recommended measures that include increasing the quality of part time and flexible work, developing female talent over a wide age range and removing tribunal fees for discrimination cases.
