Fawcett on the Tampon Tax Vote

Commenting on the House of Commons vote on abolishing the Tampon Tax, Sam Smethers, Chief Executive of the Fawcett Society said:

“MPs have missed the opportunity to stand up for women everywhere, I suspect if we had a 50:50 Commons the vote would have been different! Men voting in favour of a tax on being a women isn’t representative democracy.”
