Millicent Fawcett commemoration 2 July 2015

Fawcett plaque at Aldeburgh, Suffolk

Please join us at 6pm on Thursday 2 July 2015 in St George’s Chapel, Westminster Abbey for the annual commemoration of Millicent Fawcett.

Canon Jane SInclair will officiate and will say a few words and there will be a wreath laid in memory of Millicent Fawcett. The ceremony usually lasts 15-20 minutes and is organised by South London Fawcett Group.

All Fawcett members and supporters are warmly invited to attend. The chapel can only accommodate up to 20 people standing and any more can stand just outside the chapel. Early arrival should ensure a space in the chapel. As a check on numbers, please email Susan Pares at spares@myway.com if you would like to attend.

You could also pay a visit to the Suffragette Fellowship memorial nearby in Christchurch Gardens, Victoria Street, SW1. The gardens are on the corner of Victoria Street and Broadway and are opposite New Scotland Yard. The memorial itself is at the furthest corner of the gardens.
